It's 4:00am and someone is hungry

I know what you are thinking and no, it's not Frankie. Just waiting for the bottle to warm up and thought I would post a pic. The camera battery is charging and I'll post more tomorrow.

Hailey is 1 month old today!

Hailey is 1 month old today! We can't believe how time flies. It seems like just yesterday were were waking throughout the night to feed, change and coddle her. Oh wait. That was yesterday. Our highlight of the day was Hailey's one month check up where Dr. Kim said she was coming along great. It's been an amazing journey and we could not have done it without the help of our friends and family. Special thanks to my mom for driving down from Oklahoma and doing what Grandmas do best.

Grandma's banana pudding

Ever since her last visit, I have been thinking about this creamy concoction of sliced bananas and whip cream and I don't even like bananas. I don't know what kind of cookies are on top but they taste good in my mouth.

Mom was kind of enough to come down and help out with Hailey and give Frankie and me a much needed break. Looks like Hailey has a new friend.

Hailey is lucky to have two big brothers always looking out for her.

Hailey is 3 weeks old!

Suffice it to say we didn't make a cake or throw a party. In fact, the highlight of the day was a trip to the grocery store. I know, right? Our little angel is getting bigger by the day and we're doing everything we can to make sure we don't take for granted all the precious moments that will one day be gone. If this lilttle girl only knew how many people pray for her and love her dearly.

It's midnight...of course its time for a bath

Hailey was due for a bath and we planned on giving her one first thing in the morning but a little spit up accident sped up the process. Now she smells so fresh and so clean clean.

Waking Sleepy Beauty

We have the hardest time waking her up to eat when she is sleeping so peacefully.......She loves to sleep with her arms by her face. So sweet.

And a quick note to thank Darren for bringing us a wonderful dinner last week, which included homemade ice cream and strawberries, yum. thanks D!

A new week begins

Life has been a little hectic so sorry for the lack of updates. We've been cooped up inside the house except for the occasional doctor's visit so we took the Bowlings up on their offer for of a cook out and some adult interaction. We were leery about getting Hailey out of the house so early on but we both needed a cure for our cabin fever. A couple of Somey's work friends were there and they were all extremely nice. As always it was nice to see Hailey's cousin, Taylor.

A day at the Doctor

We took Hailey to her second doctor appointment today and she is doing great. She has put a little bit of weight back on after leaving the hospital, I guess the feedings every 3 hours are paying off.

Sunday dinner with the Bowlings

Thank you to the Bowlings for bringing us dinner once again. One less night of not having to cook is pure heaven. Taylor is growing up so fast it's hard to believe our little Hailey will be running around like her one day!

Lazy Sunday

I'm finally getting the hang of this whole blogging thing thanks to my seester-in-law Amie. She's bringing over all of the pics she took at the hospital and is going to help me tweak Hailey's Paige. They invested in a good dogital SLR camera and I love the pics it takes so we had to go buy one ourselves. I strongly recommend spending the money on a good camera so you don't miss one moment of them growing up. Once we show Allison how to post and edit, watch out.

Hailey arrived on June 30th at 5:28 pm. Our sweet little angel weighed 7lbs 5 oz, and was 20 inches long. We are so very proud of our little girl, and we're still adjusting to our new life. But what everyone has been waiting for... pictures!
